Step inside the world of Walter's Wardrobe.

A unique journey into the unknown; a new Narnia where photographers and models create real magic...

--------------------------------------------------------------

The Concept: What is Walter's Wardrobe?

This 2 day event invites photographers to step through the wooden doors of reality, wade past the faux fur coats of normality and straight into a new kind of Narnia. From a Victorian theatre, to gothic castles and unique stately homes; the locations are magical, filled with captivating characters in haute couture costume. Walter's Wardrobe builds your portfolio with 4 looks that compliment each other, allowing your images to sit together as a series.

Can I Come?

Of course! Each photographer creates their own set, from lighting to concept - making every shot their personal style. Venues are generally sun traps full of natural light. However, if flash is your bag, then you will need your own kit. The events are aimed at all levels of ability, but there is no teaching - Walter's Wardrobe is not a workshop. This means each image is your own for your portfolio use; we do not provide commercial rights. Having said this, professional guidance is always available. Fret not, you are not alone! Walter's Wardrobe is purely a play day with no pressure or expectations from anyone but yourself - simply a chance to escape the monotony of work.

How do I get Involved?

The private Facebook group has exclusive access to all the goings-on inside the Wardrobe - from the first 'save the date' notices and inspirational mood boards, to entry into some of the most ineffable locations, creative models and talented makeup artists in the UK (dressed specifically in designer costume for each themed event). You can also follow the result of each event on Instagram. Photographers can contact me to be added to the Facebook group or follow our new page for results.

The Summary: Who? When? Where?

Walter's Wardrobe aims to bring 3 extraordinary events per annum (spring - summer - autumn), to both the professional and hobbyist photographer. A maximum of 12 photographers per day, are divided into 4 groups and given 90 minutes with each model to work at pace. With 6 hours total shooting time, each event is guaranteed to provide an extra special (and social) experience for all attendees, leaving with stand-out portfolio images. Workshop tuition is not provided; encouraging personal creativity, discouraging egos and creating an inviting environment where everyone is equal from the start.
